TheMovieDB Clone

A personal full-stack learning project that recreated and redesigned a movie browsing interface with a custom backend.

  • Cloned and redesigned the client-side interface of TheMovieDB using React and Material UI, later optimized with Tailwind CSS.
  • Developed a custom Node.js and MySQL backend to replace the public TheMovieDB API for better control.

I like to begin by understanding the right problem, then turn it into a product people can use.

Through university projects, public-sector projects, and major coursework, I have gained experience moving from stakeholder requirements to user flows, interfaces, frontend modules, API contracts, and practical implementation plans for the team.

Frontend is my main strength, while I also have experience contributing to full-stack projects.
